MAMA I MADE IT

Cassper Nyovest excited about his upcoming event.

THE INFLUENCE OF #FIllUpTheDome

This hash tag influence the practice of corporate social media because the artist himself took it to social media to celebrate the news with his fans on twitter and few days before the concert fill up the dome, tickets were sold out and social media buzzed and posted images of their tickets as active participant in this event.#FillUpTheDome has become a social media movement especially for youth because Cassper gave them a reason to dream and believe in the possibility of their greatness and self-actualization.

ADVANTAGES OF FILL UP THE DOME

Cassper Nyovest performs during Fill Up the Dome
The advantage of social media for fill up the dome is that brands are involved and the event has receive support from the government, including congratulations from President Zuma on twitter and Fikile Mblula, Minister of Sport and Recreation also attended and he was dressed like a hip hop artist at the event which makes it more trending on social media because the event was not meanly for musicians people were tweeting  .The advantages of social media for fill up the dome is that a video of the concert was on you tube for people who did not make it to the event to see what was going on and can comment on social media about the video.

Twitter is one of the social media network that is use by the artist which makes it easy for his fans to tweet to him and get immediate feedback as a way of communicating with him. Fill up the dome is not trending on social media only but also on magazines articles, newspapers this are this tweets. He has received messages of support from a lot of people, even those who initially doubted the reality of his dream he has changed the perception of lot of artist basically brought people together more especially on social media, because his focus was not only to make money but to influence the use of social media platform about this hash tag.

I recommend that brand should see this event as an inspiration and how it went viral on social media because Cassper did not get any money for filling up the dome and the government must encourage the upcoming young artist to do more to bring up the music of South African to its best.

FeesMustFall campaign

Hello everyone. Thank you for following my blog and i know that everyone's time is quite busy but i hope that my blog will be informative, before i begin i would like to introduce the topic of my blog which is #FeesMustFall

The student at university of Witwatersrand began protesting on 14 October due to the announcement by the university that fees would be increased by 10.5%....... I believe that education is a basic right and key to success.

A picture of student protesting about #feesmustfall

This #feesmustfall campaign is a trending issue on social media and the use of social media is to give us the platform to engage at a whole different level that allows us to get immediate feedback because social media networks raise awareness for example people watch something on TV and it becomes trending immediately on social media right after being played on TV which makes it easier for those who did not watch TV to know what's going on through social media.

THE ADVANTAGE OF THIS #FEESMUSTFALL

The advantage of this #feesMustFall movement demand is that it is a good campaign for  students to be heard, well done to them in any case for making their issue heard beside the violence, which was uncalled for. This hash tag has influence the practice of corporate social media because the campaign has gain more international support with messages of solidarity streaming in from institution across the globe, student from Canada and Australia have posted photographs online supporting the #feesmustfall movement. The advantage of this hash tag is that it enlighten people especially students, stakeholders and organisations that are involve in tertiary institution as to the percentage of student who can access the tertiary education due to the increase of fees.

The respond of brands to this #feesmustfall

Minister of education addressing student outside the parliament

President Jacob Zuma responded in a good way by saying the will be 0% increase on fees, wow I personally did not think that 0% increase would be possible or viable and as for the Minister of education Blade Nzimande he was warned about the lack of funding before the protest take place and his respond was to slow because he appeared to be absent when the crunch comes, and has done little to address the situation even though he has been warned about it for years.I am impressed the way the Gauteng vice chancellor responded to this #feesmustfall and I agree with them when they say “damage of property to university can never be a solution’’ because it will affect those who are dependent on these facilities such as libraries. The bad thing about this #feesmustfall is that student had to experience violence for example when they marched to the South African Parliament Riot police moved to forcefully using stun grenades, tasers, coloured gas. Beating the crowd of student in the process.

RECOMMENDATIONS
personal recommend that in the forthcoming government and the organisations in the nation should come up with other ways of funding higher education because they are a group of student who are unable to access NSFAS funding.Sectors of society such as parents, churches need to work with the government in future to ensure that higher education does not suffer a long term damage.Organisation should think through helping the student by giving back to the public,For instance they can make available internship, loans, bursary, learnership for those students who are in need financially or can't afford to pay for university or college fees.
